About me
I'm Kelly, I'm a BACP qualified counsellor and psychotherapist and have a practice in Hertford.
I am a compassionate and progressive psychotherapist and believe that people have all the necessary abilities to face and get through their difficulties. However, sometimes this ability is interrupted and people can feel held back by habitual patterns and beliefs that make coping feel tough. Counselling and psychotherapy aims to collaboratively investigate and uncover how learned patterns are still active and affecting your present life.
I have a background in Psychology, Change Management and HR and my own experiences in these areas lead me to the therapeutic work I do today. My work is grounded in the belief that each client is unique and knowing that your way forward can be achieved with support of talking therapy.

What I do....
and how will it help you?
Although our work together will largely focus on what's happening in your life right now, it may be important, during the process, to talk about experiences you've had in the past. The psychodynamic approach to counselling is based on the belief that our life experiences strongly influence the way we feel about ourselves, the way we expect others to treat us and most importantly, they can determine how we react and respond to unexpected life events. This approach enables you to find more healthy behaviours and to change unwanted patterns that may have been making you feel depressed, anxious or stuck.
